We are delighted to inform you how pleased we are with the Order Stream™ Palm™ application from SL Datakatch and the business relationship between our companies.

Each of our pharmaceutical Customers is provided with a Palm™ handheld scanner and modem cradle enabling them to electronically enter and process their orders remotely. Whenever our Customers require replenishment for either general merchandise or pharmaceutical drugs, all they do is scan the product and enter quantity, insert the Palm™ into its cradle and press a button to send the information via phone line.

The orders are sent to a secure web server; for narcotic drugs a pharmacist enters an encrypted password, selects the items and quantities required and sends the order to a secure modem bank. The orders are electronically imported directly to our order entry host application and items are shipped same day or next day.

Our primary concerns when implementing this solution were its acceptance by our customers, reliability of the technology and support from SL Datakatch. Since inception our customers have quickly embraced handheld scanner ordering and we've increased our modem bank to handle the high demand. We have never lost an order through faulty transmissions and SL Datakatch has given us excellent support on custom projects and regular maintenance.
